ABOUT SUSAN
Susan is a kind and gentle teacher with many years of experience and a huge range of styles. Her first love is tap dance and she has written two books and presented 4 videos on tap dance technique for WHSmiths.
Before relocating to Scotland, Susan had her own school ‘Tappers’. who had an excellent exam record and she taught all ages and abilities. For them she produced, directed and choreographed a number of shows and over the years they performed on all the major London West End stages.
Susan originally trained as a ballet teacher at the Royal Academy of Dancing, and is very proud to say that she received her Licentiate from the hand of Dame Margot Fonteyn.
Currently Susan is a tutor for the ISTD and get a great deal of pleasure from training the next generation of dance teachers. Susan also teaches for Dance House, Dance Base, Dance For All and Edinburgh University.
Susan’s choreographic experience includes Cabaret and Audition dances and musicals as varied as Stepping Out, Mikado, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oklahoma, Midsummer Nights’ Dream, Glitz in the Blitz, Anything Goes, a Chorus Line and How to Succeed in Business.
Susan’s enthusiasm and passion for dance is contagious so be prepared to work hard and have great fun!
Susan also loves teaching jazz, street, Charleston and musical theatre as well as partner work and aerials in many dance styles.
